Proceeds from each Ribbon of Hope & Tears are being donated to the
PennState Cancer Institute for cancer research and finding a cure.

Penn State Cancer Institute is proud to join with other Big Ten cancer centers in an effort to transform cancer research through collaborative, hypothesis-driven, highly translational oncology trials that leverage the scientific and clinical expertise of Big Ten universities.
In the area of cancer research, our investigators’ work focuses primarily on studying the mechanisms of carcinogenesis and applying discoveries toward the prevention and treatment of human cancers (particularly through the experimental therapeutics and/or population health and cancer control research programs). Studying the mechanisms of carcinogenesis involves examining the basic science of viruses, chemicals, and environmental or dietary agents that may cause cancer, lead to its growth, or make a person more susceptible to the disease.
